Day 3 - They’re growing really quickly! The size difference between the peanut and the other ones is really noticeable now.

Kits are all growing fur and getting colorful. It was fairly obvious that some were “peanuts” and not going to make it. “Peanuts” is a term for rabbits that get two copies of the dwarf gene and therefore they will pass within a few days of being born.

The baby has started eating real food and hopping around a lot more. The Nest box has also been put on its side. Now it is a hide for the baby and mama.

Mama and baby were inside for weekly habitat deep clean. Baby is going zoom, zoom, zoom!

Foxy and the baby were inside to play. The baby has gotten a lot bigger, now we know it's a girl, and it can stay with Foxy. Foxy is also extremely attached to the baby so we cannot separate it from her as much without her getting stressed. We have decided to name the baby, Luna.

Just kidding! “Luna” is actually male. We’re keeping the name, because he comes when called.

Luna is looking for his forever home. He is very affectionate and knows his name. He loves human attention! He wouldn’t be a great show rabbit, because he has those adorable helicopter ears. He would make a perfect pet rabbit!!!
